This weeks featured clock

A  lovely eight day William IV fusee drop-dial timepiece in a beautiful mahogany case

This lovely oak cased narrow-trunked longcase clock comes from the clock-making dynasty of the Moores of Warminster. This particular clock dates from 1795 and is a lovely example of the period. The dial has been polished and re-silvered and the movement and case have been restored. The original cabinet lock still has its key and the eight day movement strikes hourly on a lovely sounding bell.
